Safety Instruction While Using Lifting Magnet
Lifting magnets have been around for a long time. Rare earth minerals have enabled the design and fabrication of much stronger and higher-capacity magnetic lifting devices in the last 20 years. Workers must be informed about the precautions to take when using these powerful magnetic devices. Even a little deviation from standard operating practice can result in catastrophic or fatal damage. The placement of "strong magnet" warning placards on or near the area where the lifting magnet is being used is critical. This will serve as a warning to everyone in the vicinity that the magnet should be approached with extreme caution.
